President’s Message –  
Welcome to the website of the St. Mary’s County Genealogical Society!
Within its pages are articles and information that we hope will aid you in your research into the county’s people and history.
The Society holds meetings on the 4th Monday starting at 7:00 PM during the months from September to June.  These meetings are free and open to anyone.  As of this date, the meetings are using Zoom.  Typically, the meeting opens with a speaker on some genealogy topic and then follows with a sharing session.  Check the Calendar of Events for future topics.
We are always looking for new members regardless of their level of expertise.  Please consider becoming a member.

Intensive search begins for the Lost Jesuit Slaves of Maryland. 91 people were left behind by Catholic priests in 1838 slave sale. Descendants eligible for legacy admissions edge at Georgetown today.
